UPS is required to clear a branch fuse within 1/4’th
of a cycle(5msec) to isolate a faulty load without
affecting the other connected loads
This ability decides the largest possible load that
can be connected & virtually dictates the size
of the UPS.
UPS’s are specifically de-rated for fuse clearing
ability.
i4 UPS has an unbeatable fuse clearing ability of
30% of the rated current. |
