Three
phase, 12-pulse rectification method is employed
in the rectifier/charger to suppress the input harmonic
currents to nearly 10% (as against nearly 30% in
the conventional 6-pulse rectification method).
Hi-Rel UPS system provides optional feature of 12
Pulse rectification which is widely accepted by
industries, as it is most reliable method of reducing
the input harmonic content.
Hi-Rel uses triple wound transformer with two secondary
windings, one in Star Configuration & other
in Delta Configuration. As by virtue, Star &
Delta are 30° displaced, the harmonic cancellation
takes place that results into input harmonic current
content less than 10%.
