Suitable for true Parallel Redundant Operation |
|
| |
Parallel
Redundancy refers to the simultaneous operation
of two UPS systems operating in parallel. In parallel
redundant system, as in Figure 1, each UPS module
is capable of supplying power to the entire load,
in the absence of the other module. However, when
both modules are operational i.e. in the normal
mode of operation, each of the two UPS modules shares
the load & supplies only 50% of the load power. |

|
| |
In
the event of failure of either of the UPS module,
the healthy module will continue to supply 100%
load & in the eventuality of failure of both
modules, the load will get power from bypass line
equipment. As Hi-Rel system, employs bi-directional
static switch, transfer of the load to bypass line
equipment and visa-versa is without break in sync
condition. |
